Getting Started with a One Page plan
Working together to create a one page plan is an excellent way for you to evaluate our services. It will give you a clear understanding of how we work and allow you to determine if you would benefit from working with our firm. With this plan we will strive to answer key retirement questions, such as:
- What are your retirement goals and spending expectations?
- Will you, do you, have enough to retire?
- How much income can you expect from your portfolio?
- Are you going to pay too much in taxes?
- What are the strengths and weaknesses of your current plan?
There is no sales, cost, or obligation through this process. If, in the end, you see the value in working with our firm, great! If not, no problem. We will even recommend other trusted advisors that may be a better fit.
Step One - Schedule a 15 minute call
A quick 15-minute call will help you determine if our expertise would be a good fit for your needs. We will discuss our process and let you know what you can expect from us. We want to make sure we are the right guide for your journey.
STEP Two - Getting to know you
Our first meeting (either virtual or in-person) will be about getting to know more about you, your financial situation, your needs, and your goals. Once we have a good feel for what you are looking to accomplish, we'll get to work behind the scenes.
Step Three - Meeting of the Minds
During our second meeting, we will present our findings to you, along with a clear one page financial plan.
This simple one page plan will:
- Reiterate your goals and objectives
- Provide a clear snapshot of your current financial position
- Break down strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to your financial future
- Provide 3 90 day action items to address to help you meet your goals
Step Four - Think it over
Now it's time for you to think about what we have reviewed. We invite you to take your time to process what we presented in your one page plan. We are looking to help and be there with you for the long haul, so it is essential that you feel we are the right fit for you. Here are a few things to consider:
- Do their recommendations make sense to me?
- Will the value they provide exceed the fees they charge?
- Would I enjoy working with them?
- Do I understand their investment philosophy?
Step Five - Meeting and Paperwork
After you have a chance to think it over, we will reach out to see if you have any additional questions. If you have decided that you would like to move forward with our firm, we will set up a meeting to review and sign the necessary paperwork.
*While we would love to work with you, we understand that choosing a financial advisor that is right for you is a big decision. If you decide we are not a good fit, we wish you all the best and hope the information we provide in your plan will be useful.
